Enter the Birmingham Made Me 2014 Competition Now!

Birmingham City University hosted the launch of the Birmingham Made Me Schools Design Programme and a group of Year 10 Graphics students were invited to attend with Mrs Hunter, Subject Leader for Design Technology and Graphics teacher and Mrs Turner, Director of Communications.

The Programme takes an innovative approach to engaging school pupils to enter a competition which involves actively designing and making products for the future around the themes of Live, Play and Move, focussing on sustainability and well being.

Over 120 young people from 11 schools across the West Midlands gathered at BCU’s Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment, for an action packed afternoon involving designing and making challenges and engaging business people to highlight the many areas where design and innovation are making ‘all the difference’ in terms of our ability to compete internationally.

All students from all subject areas from all year groups are free to enter this prestigious design competition either as a group or individuals.  To download full information on the completion and design brief, click on the icons below.  Contact Mrs Hunter now to discuss your ideas and for further information – you will need to submit your completed work to Mrs Hunter by Mon 7th April so get designing now!
