Year 7's Flag Competition Winners
Students create a colourful flag themed display for a start of term competition
Year 7 have been showing off their creative talents in the annual year 7 MFL flag competition. They were set the challenge of making either a French or Pakistani flag (representing the two languages taught in the MFL department, French and Urdu) out of something unusual or original. The standard of entries was very high with flags made out of card, sequins, pasta, cake, lollipop sticks, lego, bottle tops and ferns as well as cushions, t-shirts, a pyramid, a train and several very tasty cakes. Year 10 languages students helped to judge the flags, and as the standard was so high, 12 winners were chosen. Well done to all students who made a flag this year.
