Pedmore Voices do a Carolling Tour in Stourbridge!

Our choir bring the festive spirit to our town!

On 7th December, Pedmore Voices (our school choir) gave our local community a festive treat with three performances in one day!  The group (accompanied by Mrs Condlyffe, Mrs Tromans, Mr Fenn and Mrs Turner) first visited the Age Concern Centre at Mary Stevens Hospice.  After singing  traditional and contempory Christmas songs and carols to the centre's guests, the group spent time chatting to their audience as they gave out handmade PTC Christmas cake.  The group were very well recieved at the Centre with guests joining in with the songs performed.

Following this performance, the group walked to Ryemarket Shopping Centre in Stourbridge and entertained shoppers, giving two shows before and after lunchtime.   Again, members of the public commented on how well the group sang and joined in with the songs.

Mrs Tromans, head of Art and Design and a classically trained singer said, "This is our second year of the carol concert on tour in our local town and today's event was another great success.  We had so many lovely comments from our audiences on the quality of our young singers and how they bought a real festive spirit to the locations.  We are making the carol tour a PTC tradition and will intend to build on this type of event and more with our local community in the near future"
