PTC team went to the palace of Westminster for the Big Ideas final - read the full story
PTC's Team Pulse worked tirelessly for the Big Idea final at the palace of Westminster!
This follows their outstanding success at the Big Ideas semi-final at the University of Wolverhampton. After 8 months of preparing business plans and presentations our three teams set off for the semi-finals. Our lads battled it out against 9 other school teams competing on the day for a chance to win a place at the finals.
Due to sheer hard work and dedication Reece Faulker (Team Pulse) was awarded an impressive first place and his place at the Westminster final and Shahban Ali Ahmed achieved third place. Whilst our other team made up of Jordan Leighton and Thomas Bradley weren’t successful, they were recognised highly by the judges and supported Team Pulse at the Westminster finals.
Their business mentor, Douglas Brown from Brammer who has worked with the team throughout the project, was there to support all of the boys at the Wolverhampton heat. He said, “You all did superbly. Your confidence on stage along with your passion about your solutions was fantastic to see. It was evident that you had all put in hard work to impress the judges.”
Although our team didn't win the competition at Westminster, their project and presentation on the day was commented on by judges and they have put PTC truly on the innovations map!
