Guess the Character - Celebrating World Book Day 2016

We celebrate World Books Day at PTC every year with a range of activites and events promoting literature and reading.  This year on Thursday 3rd March  many of our staff dressed up as characters from books and the students had to indentify who they were.  staff group in fancy dress as book characters  Staff threw themselves into character for the event; Batman running down corridors with wings outspread; Where's Wally characters popping up here and there all day and Deputy Headmistress and transfiguration expert Professor McGonagall keeping order.

Last week was the start of our two week Literacy festival incorporating World Book Day.



 There has been special assemblies, competitions and more.  This week we are joined by an author and actor John Edgar, spending the week here doing performance , storytelling and workshops for our students and pupils from local primaries who will be joining us throughout the week .
