Catering students go on a taster day at UCB
Year 10 GCSE Catering students sample the delights of and at UCB
A great day was had by our GCSE Year 10 Catering students who were given a real taste of UCB (University College Birmingham) life. They were involved in three sessions: front of house, where they made "mocktails" , a session in the bakery making doughnuts and bread and the final session took place in the chef kitchen making stir-fry. They also had a tour of the university visiting the state-of-the-art food innovation suite and science labs. Mrs Condlyffe (Food Teacher), Mr Fenn (food techinican) and Mrs Jordan (teaching assistant) were delighted by students behaviour. UCB senior lecturers also gave very favourable comments. A very inspiring day for all.
