Rotary Chef of the Year Competition - PTC wins the Dudley Schools heat!

PTC cooks come out on top

Key Stage 3 and 4 contestants battled for a place in the Dudley Schools heat by cooking a healthy meal for a family for under £8.00.  Our school heat took place in our kitchens during the last week of term.  The dishes were sampled and judged by Mr Kemp, Mrs Condylffe, Mrs Hunter, Mrs Mills and Mrs Turner.

After much deliberation as the standard of cooking was very high from all entrants, the winners were chosen; The Key Stage 3 winners were Matthew Whitehouse, and Nosheen Akthar, and Key Stage 4 were Hannah Irwin and Aman Kainat. The winners competed in the Dudley Schools heat at Halesowen College in on Monday 9 Jaunary.  Matthew beat off competition from Leasowes, Redhill, High Arcal, Thorns and Kingswinford School and was awarded 1st prize in the Key Stage 3 Category.  Aman came second in the Key Stage 4 category.  Mrs Condlyffe said, "All our cooks did so well and we are absolutely delighted that Matthew was awarded first prize and will now go on to represent our school at the regional final in Telford".  Well done Matthew and Aman.    Go to our photo gallery for more pictures of the Halesowen College Heat.
