Headteacher's Message - Summer Term 2013
My first term has come and gone in a flash and summer is just around the corner (we hope!). The students at Pedmore Technology College continue to impress me with their first-class attitudes to learning, their determination to succeed and their willingness to help others.
Our Year 11 students took their GCSE Maths exam at the start of 2013 and have excelled themselves by achieving the best ever Maths results at PTC. 62% have already achieved an A*-C grade. Click here for the full story of this outstanding achievement
In order to build on this success and continue to move PTC forward we have set up 2 new staff working groups: The Teaching and Learning Group and the Curriculum Reform Group. Click here for full details of this development
We are about to begin on the Transition stage of working with Year 6 students who have opted for PTC as their secondary school of choice. Mrs Barnett and her team are currently developing a whole range of activities and events for the last half-term of the year. We are looking forward immensely to welcoming them to PTC.

Our D&T/Enterprise project ‘Lip Varvi’ is about to open up its shop in the Ryemarket in Stourbridge. They are in the final stages of production now creating their unique, designer tie-dye t-shirts and accessories. The shops official opening is on Friday 7th June
I would like to extend my thanks to all parents and carers for your continued support for the school and the work that we do, and also to remind you that you are always welcome to come and have a look around the school during a ‘normal’ working day to get a feel for the incredible atmosphere that our young people get to experience every day.
