House System and Seeking Advice
The House System at PTC
Students are divided between 3 houses at PTC from Years 7 to 11. The house are Phoenix, Griffin and Wyvern. Each form group has students from one academic year i.e. Year 8 and all three houses are represented in each form. There are 5 Heads of Year who lead on academic and pastoral issues related to their year group.
The Griffin, a creature with body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. The Griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature.
The Phoenix is a long-lived bird that is regenerated or reborn. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.
The Wyvern is a legendary winged creature with a dragon's head and wings; a reptilian body; two legs and barbed tail.
