As part of our standard fire drill, evacuation, lockdown and safety procedures we are currently staging a mock lockdown of the college site. This is a test and ensures that staff and students are familiar with the procedure and confident in the process. We will update this webpage as soon as the test procedure is complete.

Languages students attend the Business Language Champions event at the University of Wolverhampton

Students attend a prestigious conference at the University of Wolverhampton.

On 10th December a group of our Languages students attended a prestigious conference at the University of Wolverhampton, “Business Languages Champions”.  The conference was designed to show students how learning a language can greatly enhance careers prospects/benefit them in the future.  There was a Spanish taster session for the students to try out where students (and staff) learnt the basics in a fun environment.

 This was followed by a fasinating insight into the role of the Players Welfare Officer at Aston Villa Football Club who explained how her languages skills have opended so many doors in her life and the position she now holds at Villa.
