Pedmore currently having a lockdown drill

As part of our standard fire drill, evacuation, lockdown and safety procedures we are currently staging a mock lockdown of the college site. This is a test and ensures that staff and students are familiar with the procedure and confident in the process. We will update this webpage as soon as the test procedure is complete.

Students collect for Black Country Food Bank

Head Boy and Girl coordinate whole school food collection

Students have been collecting food to donate to the Black Country Food Bank in the run up to Christmas.  The collection was organised by Head Boy and Head Girl Robert Hart and Charlotte King, who worked with year 11 Senior Prefects and the Year 7 School Council.

The team worked tirelessly to encourage students and staff to bring in food and they organised the collections on a daily basis.  Mrs Walker, Head of Year 7 said, “The response from students was excellent and all year groups contributed.  Our Year 7's have been involved in the promotion of this initiative with a poster competition.  It was particularly pleasing to see students from different year groups working closely together to ensure that the collection was a success”.   Due to the enthusiasm of the students for supporting this cause, a percentage of the money raised from the school’s Christmas Fayre was also be donated to the Black Country Food bank.
