Our Enterprising students sell gifts at Stourbridge Lights Switch On Celebrations 

Students get VIP recognition for their Christmas gift Enterprising Businesses   

Our Year 10 GCSE Business  Enterprise students seized the opportunity to sell their handmade festive products at Stourbridge Lights Switch On Celebrations on Saturday 2nd December.  The students negotiated with Stourbridge’s Ryemarket Manager to have a stall on the day, selling hand decorated festive candles and Ipad covers.  students with clown on stiltsCustomers snapped up the Christmas gifts and the team were delighted to be recognised by the Mayor of Dudley, Cllr Hanif and his wife, mayoress Zabeda Khanam for their efforts and entrepreneurial and enthusiastic approach to the selling challenge. students with customers Mrs Hunter, head of Business Enterprise at Pedmore said, “This was a great opportunity for our students to have a hand-on selling experience starting from sourcing and enhancing their products right through to selling them to the customers.  As part of their GCSE assessment, the team need to be deliver real life projects and this opportunity certainly gave them that.  Many thanks to Kelly Dyas at Stourbridge Ryemarket for accommodating us for the day and we look forward to supporting future Stourbridge events”.
