PTC Young Entreprenuer - Year 7's Louis Gaskin

Year 7 student's success with Lou's Threads enterprise

Louis Gaskin, one of new Year 7’s (Phoenix House) is already a budding entrepreneur and has chosen PTC over other secondary schools in the Stourbridge area.  He listed one of the major reasons for coming to PTC was  our school’s recent experience in  Enterprise initiatives such as our student’s pop up shop, “LipVarvi” in Stourbridge town centre last year and  our new GCSE in Business Enterprise, starting in Year 9.

Louis began making items with his grandmother when he was 7 and had a sewing machine for a Christmas present.  The young entrepreneur quickly saw an opportunity to turn it into an enterprising business, Lou’s Threads.

Louis sells the creations at local craft fairs and was recently spotted by BBC presenter Michael Collie from Radio Hereford and Worcester at a Shrewsbury show.
