  • Vertical Tutoring

Our House system incorporates tutor groups with students of mixed ages, “vertical tutoring”.  Older students are able to take responsibility for helping to organise younger students, this can include reading groups and numeracy projects etc.

New students (including new Year 7’s) join an established and settled form group where the existing students will help them settle into school life.  For example, our older students help with guiding around school, completing planners, explaining about school life and “buddying” during free time at break and lunchtime.
